Pardon Me? Trump Lets Maria Butina’s Boyfriend Off-The-Hook

Paul Erickson & Maria Butina
Baby, we’ve seen better days!

Paul Erickson finally got the presidential treatment! While well-known in GOP shenanigan circles, Mr. Erickson didn’t rise to national fame until he was outed as the boyfriend of the Red Russian Fox, Maria Butina. Always fun when a national scandal can be traced back to a nondescript love-nest a few mile from home!

But he’s sure to be feeling better these days. Cleared of all charges, ready to start over anew.

To be clear, the Russian-spy thing turned out to be little more than tabloid fodder. Maria was low-level. Erickson’s crimes – fraud totaling over a million dollars, were not.

Here’s to the next chapter, you crazy kids!

Click Rain Snaps Up Lemonly

Click Rain Gets Lemonly

While this is a little outside of our usual beat, the Sioux Falls design industry is something we like to keep an eye on. Things have really changed around town over the last decade. Bad branding just doesn’t cut it any more, and we’ve got scores of talented designers in Sioux Falls making sure that we keep up with coasts.

Click Rain – the digital-services baby birthed by Mayor Ten Heken – has acquired Lemonly. You might not know Lemonly, but you’ve seen their info-graphic focused design our in the “real world,” with graphics whipped up for the MLB, Netflix, Disney, etc.

It sounds like a good fit – two successful local business in adjoining industries joining forces in search of that mysterious profit-churning synergy.

Here’s a page the put up with all the details.

Good luck, guys! And keep Sioux Falls looking good!

Mayor Says No Mask Mandate, But C’mon!

paul tenhaken mask
yeah, I wear one, but you can’t make me!

Hey guys, writing a blog encouraging all y’all to get out and see what Sioux Falls has to offer has gotten pretty weird. Can’t we all agree to do our part to help things get back to normal? Like you know, where a dang mask! It’s easy! They’re cheap! They can even look kinda cool. (Head over to Etsy and search “mask” along with your favorite band or team or whatever floats your boat.)

So why can’t our mayor get behind it? We don’t know.

Prove him wrong: Masks are ok with Sioux Falls!

Or prove him right: We don’t need a mandate to do the right thing!

Either way, just do it!

South Dakota Votes: Legalize It!

Where the green stuff grows!

Nice work guys! We never thought this was going to make it through, especially after similar bills have failed. But as they say… puff, puff, PASS!

Of course, the devil’s in the details when it comes to actually putting recreational weed sales into practice. Our prediction is that it will be nipped back on the county and city level, with distribution banned around town. Next summer, you’ll be driving out to a remote spot off the highway to pick up your edibles and baggies of kind buds. Maybe to the reservations. But someone’s going to cash in on this. It’s the American thing to do!

While we wait, pull out that box your brought back from Colorado and give Pete Tosh a spin while city council freaks out.
